Happy end of the weekend! After almost a month of being back in Boston, I’m finally in a decorated, organized room 🙂 Yesterday, two of my co-workers joined me in an excursion around Boston to pick up furniture. We picked up three bookcases, a dresser, and another smaller bookshelf. It was a lot of work, but I had a lot of fun driving around in the uhaul pick up truck. I had never driven in Boston before, and thus was a little nervous at first, but it ended up being pretty easy and I loved being behind the wheel!
This weekend, I did not go on any runs nor did I go to the gym as I had two relatively hard days Thursday and Friday. Thursday, I went on a 9 mile run in the early morning, where I was trying to keep a steady pace of 8 minutes/mile. I tend to go out fast and I am now trying to work on being more consistent and also practice slowing down my overall pace during my long runs, so that I don’t get hurt. During long runs, one should generally run at least 30 seconds slower than half-marathon pace. My target pace for the half is under 7:30 minutes/mile. I managed to get a couple photos in during my run, while still maintaining my pace! Friday, I had a personal training session at the gym, where we did leg day. My legs were pretty beat by the end!
Here are pictures of my eats from the last few days! Some of my staple foods included my shrimp pesto pasta, “arroz con leche” with black rice, fruit smoothie, mushrooms with pesto and garlic hummus, and I even made some mini apple crisp this morning!
Yesterday for dinner, we went to Christopher’s, which is a restaurant and bar in Cambridge. They are known for their burgers, specifically their vegetarian burgers. I ordered a veggie burger and a cider 🙂 The food was delicious!!
Here are some more food pictures!
Have a great week!
