Happy second week of work to me haha 🙂 While we still have quite a few trainings over the next three weeks, a lot of my time at work is now spent on working on my projects, currently one internal and also one external. Really exciting stuff! I’d be lying if I said I understood everything after one week. It sort of feels like we are being thrown in front of wolves because it’s not like we are 100% sure how to go about solving our project, but these are the nice wolves that don’t want to eat you, instead they just want to play. This internal project is really about getting a sense of what a client project is really like, and we are expected to have many questions and ask for guidance when we need it. Haha this is probably a really strange analogy but it’s first thing that came to mind ahaha.
I ate my breakfast on the fly, rice cakes, nut clusters and edamame. Sort of a strange combination but it worked. For lunch I had a delicious salad that I made in the morning for my sister and I. The salad had an arugula base, quinoa, herbed goat cheese, sweet and spicy pecans, avocado, and a homemade vinaigrette with olive oil, whole grain mustard seeds, and raspberry balsamic vinegar! I also had a small chocolate chip cookie for snack later.
After work I stopped by the gym, dropped off my stuff, and went for a 4 mile run. The first three miles I kept
a steady pace of under 7:30 min/mile and then the last mile I did intervals of sprinting about 100 meters and then running or jogging 100 meters until I got back to the gym.
Tonight my sister cooked for us! I was so excited because I was hungry (so hungry that I ate a granola bar right before my run) 🙂 She cooked kale and onions and basil pesto chicken sausage with quinoa and topped it all with tomato and avocado on the side. She also made a delicious yogurt parfait with mango and granola on top. For dessert I ate two truffles 🙂 Then I made us some tea and we then got ready for bed. We are both waking up early tomorrow!
