What a hot afternoon!
We have been working camp all morning and it feels like it could easily be 100 degrees outside. Make sure you keep hydrated today! All week Jess has been planning to take a trip to the grocery store and last night she finally went and discovered Joseph’s Flax, Oat Bran and Whole Wheat Flour Tortilla’s! She had read about them on Carrots ‘n’ Cake. They are pretty healthy and high in protein which is great. Jess had to make a really quick change before coming to work after camp so she quickly put together one of the Joseph’s tortillas with half a banana and a drizzle of almond butter. She devoured it so quickly that she was unable to take a picture but she was able to take a picture of a little snack she had with it! A mug of Kashi Island Vanilla Whole Wheat Biscuits with TJ’s unsweetened vanilla almond milk. SO GOOD. Once again Jess is the one eating like a child and Less made herself a sophisticated salad. She added tomatoes, shredded carrots, chickpeas, tabour, broccoli, red onion and balsamic chicken to a base of romaine. Colorful salads ensure that you incorporate many nutrients into your salad.
We are both going to snack on some homemade zucchini bread later. Recipe will come soon!
