Fun Friday

Happy Friday!

I am almost positive there was no storm last night, but it did start raining around 6 am this morning, right when my teammates and I were warming up for our fitness test. How convenient. You may already know what our fitness test is, but I am going to share it again for those of you who don’t know.

Fitness test

6 300 yd shuttles (cone at 50 yds)

Complete in 60-62 sec

Rest 1 min in between but extra 30 sec rest after 4th and 5th shuttles.

I was feeling quite tired this morning, but that didn’t stop me from passing the test. It’s a relief knowing that I have been able to pass more than once. My times ranged from 60-61 sec for all six shuttles. Now that I know I can pass pretty easily, my goal is to try to decrease my times. I think if I ran them with fresh legs, it’s more than possible.

After running the test, we played soccer 2 v 2. While we didn’t play for very long, my legs felt tired! 2 v 2 is hard! Then we went to the weight room to lift.

Once we all finished the workout, Lizzy and I went back to her house to eat breakfast! We both fixed up some great looking meals. I made oatmeal on the stove and mixed in a little honey. Then I added blueberries, a cut up banana, chia seeds, and a small spoonful of almond butter. I also drank a medium black iced coffee on the side.

Lizzy, on the other hand, made a more savory breakfast. She toasted two slices of multigrain toast and spread some butter on them. She also cooked herself scrambled eggs and ate some blueberries as well. Orange juice to drink!

The rain has finally stopped and now it’s time for work!

Have a good Friday!
