I don’t know if you have ever been on the Open Sky website, but if you haven’t you should check it out! We first discovered it thanks to Kath Eats and now I check this website on a fairly regular basis. They have all sorts of great products ranging from clothing to food to fitness accessories. Today I got an email from them that captured my attention. It was for lifestyle weights. I’ve heard about people running with 5 lb. weights on their ankles to help them with their training, but I’ve never tried it. These weights on Open Sky were much lighter (1 lb.) but they seem kind of fashionable because they are come as anklets and bracelets. I feel like they are small enough where I can wear the bracelets daily and it won’t be blatantly obvious that I am wearing a weight on a wrist (except now you all would know since I just told you!). I was curious and decided to buy them! Maybe I’ll also wear the ankle ones while running. I wonder if I will notice a difference since it’s not much added weight? But I am still excited! I bought the black ones because black goes with everything! Since I was already on the site, I browsed around some more and found another product I had been looking at a few weeks ago. It’s a running belt! I have an arm band that can hold my ipod but it’s kind of annoying and sometimes falls off my arm, making it hard for me to pump my arm. Hopefully I like this belt better! The belt doesn’t seem to be at all bulky, which is nice. I bought the black belt with blue zipper. Now, I just need to get bluetooth headphones. Haha I admit I might getting a little greedy (sorry!!), but I really don’t like how the cord gets in the way sometimes!! I’ll be putting them on my wish list for the future!
Now onto lunch! I ate a plate of pasta with broccoli, spinach, and tuscan chickpeas. I also added red pepper flakes, black pepper, and a little salt. Yum yum!
What are you favorite fitness “tools” or things you like to have with you when you workout? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
