We ate lunch at different times today. Jess got hungry around 11:30 am and ate a turkey sandwich with lettuce and swiss cheese. She is working a soccer camp today and has to stand in the scorching heat all day! It feels like a furnace outside!
I have class from 12-3 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays so I normally don’t eat until our break around 1:30 pm. I opted for some leftover vegetable soup. Soup on a hot day?! What am I thinking? Luckily, it’s more vegetable than soup so I ate it cold and it was quite refreshing. Now that I think about it, I don’t think I have ever really had cold soup before. While it did seem a little abnormal to me, the cold soup was good! I also needed more protein so I ate some dried berries and nuts to refuel my body from this morning’s workout. I’ll be joining Jess around 6 pm at the camp. Should be fun, but hopefully the heat has died down a bit by then.
